At MISFITKID, we strive to provide a smooth and reliable shipping experience from Japan to your doorstep. Please review the following important details:
COLLAPSIBLE CONTENT
SHIPPING UPDATE: Important Update for U.S. Customers
On July 30, 2025, the Trump administration issued an Executive Order suspending the de minimis exemption, effective August 29, 2025.
This change means that all packages arriving in the United States are now subject to a 15% tax upon entry, regardless of value.
At MISFITKID, we remain committed to delivering your favorite Japanese and Korean goodies straight from Japan. To comply with the new regulations, we will continue shipping to the U.S. using Yamato Transport, which follows the updated requirements.
⚠️ Please Note:
- Any customs duties, U.S. taxes, or additional fees charged upon arrival are the responsibility of the customer.
- MISFITKID is not responsible for these charges.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update you as soon as any new information or changes become available.
I. PROCESSING TIME
Orders are processed within 5 to 10 business days after payment confirmation (excluding weekends and Japanese holidays).
Pre-orders or made-to-order items may require additional processing time.
II. SHIPPING & HANDLING
We ship worldwide from Japan using Japan Post and Yamato Transport.
- Orders are carefully packed with bubble wrap to protect the contents.
- Shipping delays may occur due to customs clearance or international transit conditions.
III. SHIPPING METHODS & ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES
You can select from the following shipping options at checkout:

EMS → Approx. 4 days to 1 week
📨 Semi-express airmail via YAMATO TRANSPORT (for the United States of America ONLY)
YAMATO → Approx. 5-10 days
✈️ Affordable Airmail Shipping
AIR → Approx. 2 weeks
🚢 Budget-Friendly Surface Mail
SURFACE → Approx. 30-90 days
Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to customs processing, weather, or carrier delays.
IV. CUSTOMS & IMPORT FEES
Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT/GST, or import taxes required by their country.
MISFITKID cannot declare packages as gifts or undervalue items.
V. TRACKING & LOST PACKAGES
If applicable, a tracking number will be provided and emailed to you once your order has shipped. Tracking availability depends on the shipping method selected at checkout.
For shipments with tracking, please don't hesitate to contact Japan Post or Yamato directly with any questions or concerns during transit.
Note that these carriers are Japanese and offer very little support in English.
Please be aware that MISFITKID is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged packages once they have left our facility, regardless of whether tracking is available.
VI. INCORRECT ADDRESS
Please verify your shipping address carefully before placing your order.
If a package is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, reshipping fees will apply.
VII. RETURNS
Thank you for shopping with MISFITKID! We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.
Eligible Returns:
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging.
- Photos and videos of the item(s) are required for return approval.
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Items:
- Food or perishable products
- Beauty/personal care products
- Customized or personalized items
- Flammable or hazardous materials
- Sale items and gift cards
For safety reasons, food items cannot be returned under any circumstances.
VIII. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN OR EXCHANGE
Please email us at contact@misfitkid.co with the following information:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return or exchange
- Clear photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) showing the item(s) and their condition
Once approved, we will provide you with return instructions. If you’re unsure about eligibility, please contact us — we’re happy to help.

IX. DISCLAIMERS & SHIPPING RESPONSABILITY
- MISFITKID is not liable for shipping delays, postal damage, or lost packages after items have been shipped.
- Delivery estimates are subject to change based on destination and carrier performance.
- Always refer to product packaging for accurate ingredient and allergen information.
